Coating machine

The USM 250C coating machine is a new generation of tray padding machines in connection with the coating of the tray sealing surfaces with a special adhesive or sealing medium. This technology replaces the additional materials previously used in the shell, such as PE or PE-Peal.

The USM 250C is an “off-line” application, but it can also be flexibly connected to a thermoforming system.

With a cycle rate of up to 120 trays/minute, the USM 250C coating machine precisely inserts the suction inserts into the plastic trays, fixes them in place and coats the tray seal edges. When fixing the soaker pads, you have the choice between hot melt or 2-point ultrasonic welding. In addition to the standard tray sizes, various special sizes are also possible after testing.

After tray padding and coating of the sealing surface the trays are stacked into a batch of a constant quantity with our stacking system AFS 200. Finaly the stack with the trays will be transferred to the discharge conveyor. The number of trays per stack can be flexibly adjusted, whereby the stack height is limited to a maximum of 460 mm as standard.

Optionally, the respective tray stacks can be automatically packed into plastic bags by our packaging unit.

The special feature of the USM 250C coating machine is the built-in quality control. A camera check system is used to check all trays for proper coating of the sealing surface and correct positioning of the suction insert. If a defect is detected, then the defective tray is automatically sorted out into a separate container.

A high level of reliability is thus achieved with quality control.

If required, smaller quantities of customer trays can be sampled from us in advance.
